A comparison is the alternative that you want to compare to your intervention. A comparison can also be made between your proposed intervention and no intervention at all.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>ibuprofen<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>as effective in relieving pain after the removal of the lower wisdom teeth as<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>acetaminophen<\/em>?<\/li>\n<li>Is there a difference between<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>powered<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>and<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>non-powered<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>toothbrushes in the removal of plaque?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<h3>Case:<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/medlib\/files\/2018\/06\/pico_ebd_case.jpg\" width=\"80\" height=\"123\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\" style=\"display: inline; margin: 2px 2px 2px 5px;\" \/>You meet your new patient Tracey, a thirteen year old female.
