You will see an increased presence of public safety officers doing walk-rounds to deter non-affiliates from accessing our buildings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxmsonormal\"><b><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\"><span data-markjs=\"true\" class=\"mark8drqy3ah3\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">BU IDs<\/span><span> are required <\/span>for all employees and students entering BUMC buildings. Visitors will <span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_ContentPasted0\">be required to present a photo ID and sign in<\/span>.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxmsonormal x_x_x_elementToProof\"><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">B<\/span><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">uildings on the Medical Campus are accessible only by swiping BU ID from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. weekdays<\/span><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">,<span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_Apple-converted-space x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">and 24 hours on weekends and holidays, including Intersession. All students, faculty and staff must use their ID badge to gain access to buildings, stairwells and elevators during these times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxmsonormal\"><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">Public safety is a shared responsibility. Please wear your BU ID at all times when on campus.<span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_Apple-converted-space x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">Please<span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxapple-converted-space x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">\u00a0<\/span>do<span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxapple-converted-space x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">\u00a0<\/span>not<span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxapple-converted-space x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">\u00a0<\/span>allow others to piggyback through<span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxapple-converted-space x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">\u00a0<\/span>card-accessed doors, including stairwells and elevators; they must use their own ID.<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_x_x_x_xxmsonormal\"><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\">If you See Something, Say Something by calling BUMC Public Safety at 617-358-4444 when on campus or dialing 911 off campus.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the Provost has implented plans to enhance the security posture on the Medical Campus.
