The Boston University Medical Campus contains t<span style=\"color: #000000;\">he <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmc.org\/\" style=\"color: #000000;\">Boston Medical Center<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/busm\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: #000000;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston University Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/sph.bu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: #000000;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Public Health<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/dentalschool.bu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: #000000;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dentistry<\/a>. The Department of Medicine is affiliated with our two principal teaching hospitals, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: #000000;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Medical Center<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.va.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: #000000;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As Chair of the Department of Medicine, I look forward to our journey ahead. Our Department will remain committed to its missions including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outstanding &amp; equal care for all<\/li>\n<li>Health equity<\/li>\n<li>Research that spans all domains from the laboratory bench to local &amp; global health<\/li>\n<li>Educational programs that position the next generation for success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We remain indebted to our history as a Department and the outstanding achievements of our faculty and staff. Now with close to 500 faculty, 14 Sections 15 research centers we are poised to broaden and expand our excellence. Our location in Boston provides the ideal backdrop to care for our community and to expand our basic, translational and clinical research programs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/medicine\/dom-introduction\/faculty\/\">Learn more about DoM&#8217;s leadership here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Home to one of the country\u2019s leading residency programs, our Department is able to provide outstanding clinical and research opportunities to our housestaff, fellows-in training and medical students.
