Recently, Firefox blocked the use of the old Java plugin and many users have recently been experiencing issues accessing UIS in Firefox.<\/p>\n<p>If you have the most up-to-date version of Firefox and cannot access UIS, you can follow the instructions below to workaround this issue:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/ie-tab\/\">https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/ie-tab\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cAdd to Firefox\u201d and wait for the file to download.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cInstall Now\u201d (it might take a couple minutes for Install Now to show up)<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/install.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2725 alignnone\" title=\"install\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/install.png\" alt=\"install\" width=\"255\" height=\"162\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click the button to restart Firefox<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/restart.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2726\" title=\"restart\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/restart.png\" alt=\"restart\" width=\"215\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Right click anywhere in empty space in the bar where your webpage tabs are and click \u201cCustomize\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down until you see \u201cIE tab.\u201d<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/ietab.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2727\" title=\"ietab\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/ietab.jpg\" alt=\"ietab\" width=\"51\" height=\"65\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click the IE Tab and drag it up next to your address bar.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/drag.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2728\" title=\"drag\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2012\/04\/drag.png\" alt=\"drag\" width=\"292\" height=\"54\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click the IE Tab icon every time you go on UIS in Firefox and it will display UIS in an IE tab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you have any questions, please contact the Service Desk at (617) 638-5914 or\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:bumchelp@bu.edu\">bumchelp@bu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UIS will not work if you have any Java version after v23 installed.
