Features include automatic alerts of low number of sample aliquots, sample expiration date, sample volume or freeze-thaw count along with reporting.<\/p>\n<p>FreezerPro has been independently validated and certified to be fully compliant with HIPAA and the FDAs current GLP\/GMP requirements. This will be addressed in a newer version of the application.\u00a0 However, you may wish to restrict access to freezers differently.\u00a0 To change your freezer&#8217;s access level, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right-click on your freezer<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;access permissions&#8221;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2014\/11\/access-permissions-circled.png\" alt=\"access permissions circled\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6747 aligncenter\" height=\"561\" width=\"278\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Click on the current access type (<b>Full\/View Only\/No Access<\/b>) to get the drop down list of access types.<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2014\/11\/full-access-type-arrow.png\" alt=\"full access type arrow\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6748 aligncenter\" height=\"542\" width=\"439\" \/><\/li>\n<li>You have the following choices for access types:\n<ol>\n<li><b>Full<\/b> \u2013 other FreezerPro users may access and modify the contents of the freezer depending on their assigned role.<\/li>\n<li><b>View Only<\/b> \u2013 other FreezerPro users will be able to only view the contents of the freezer and not modify them.<\/li>\n<li><b>No Access<\/b> \u2013 other FreezerPro users will not be able to access the freezer at all.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2014\/11\/allow-access-to-following-roles.png\" alt=\"allow access to following roles\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6749\" height=\"549\" width=\"443\" \/><br \/>\nWe recommend giving BUMC Administrators full access so that BUMC IT can assist with any issues pertaining to one&#8217;s freezer(s).<\/li>\n<li>Once you have assigned the correct permissions to each group, click &#8220;save permissions.&#8221;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/it\/files\/2014\/11\/save-permissions.png\" alt=\"save permissions\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6750\" height=\"547\" width=\"447\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>FreezerPro Support<\/h2>\n<p>If you have questions about using FreezerPro, please contact the BUMC IT Service Desk at (617) 638-5914, bumchelp@bu.edu, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/it\/support\/gethelp\/\">by submitting a ticket<\/a>.\u00a0 Be sure to mention that you are a FreezerPro user.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FreezerPro allows users to track their frozen samples through an intuitive, fast, reliable and secure Web-based application.
