We review all applications submitted to our program until October 31st.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How many intern positions are available?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>We have 55 PGY-1 intern positions available (may slightly vary from year to year) which are distributed amongst our different tracks and pathways.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">What are the requirements to have a completed application to our program?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/students-residents.aamc.org\/applying-residency\/applying-residencies-eras\/\"><em>ERAS<\/em><\/a><em> Common Application Form <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Dean\u2019s Letter +\u00a0<span>A minimum of two letters of recommendation (inclusive of the department letter). One letter should be from a DOM faculty member.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Personal Statement<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Official Medical School Transcript<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usmle.org\/\"><em>USMLE<\/em><\/a><em> Transcripts <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>It is recommended that you have both Step 1 and 2 scores available when you apply.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Are there any additional requirements needed if I am an International Medical School Graduate?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>US or Canadian clinical exposure of at least 4 weeks duration with a letter from a supervisor. Direct patient care experiences are heavily favored, though observerships will be considered. Our department does not arrange observerships.<\/li>\n<li><em>All graduates of medical school outside the US and Canada must meet <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">one<\/span> of the following:<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>A valid <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/\"><em>ECFMG<\/em><\/a><em> Certificate (Jan 31<sup>st<\/sup>)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Passed the CSA examination from the Educational Commission for Foreign medical Gradates<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US licensing jurisdiction.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Complete a Fifth Pathway Program provided by an LCME\u2013accredited medical school.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Is there a cutoff date after graduating from medical school?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>We rarely interview candidates more than 4 years out from graduation, however we do review all applications and evaluate the applicant in accordance to their academic transcripts, board scores, letters of recommendation, etc.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Is there a minimum score required for USMLE Step 2 CK?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>We do not have a minimum score requirement for Step 2<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Do you sponsor any Visas and\/or allow EADs?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>We offer J1 visas. We have a very limited number of\u00a0 H1-B visas.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>EADs (Employment Authorization Documentation) are also accepted.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Do you have International Medical Graduates in your program?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Yes, we have International Medical Graduates in each residency class.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How many clinical sites are there?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p><em>There are 8 clinical sites: <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Boston Medical Center<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>VA ambulatory located in Jamaica Plain<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>VA inpatient located in West Roxbury<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>4 continuity ambulatory sites in several <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/im-residency\/why-bmc\/hospitals\/community-health-centers\/\"><em>Community Health Centers<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Can I apply to multiple tracks (Categorical, Primary Care, and ABIM)?<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p><em>Yes, you may apply to multiple tracks.
