Soumya Ramireddy<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area but went to college and medical school at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. From there, I moved to Boston for residency at BMC \u2014 sight unseen \u2014 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. My professional passions include hematology\/oncology, medical education, and quality improvement. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, our dog Minnie, and our friends\/family, watching movies, going to yoga and dance classes, and playing tennis and pickleball.<\/p>\n

Max Uetz<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and went to medical school at the University of Minnesota, enjoying the magical summers around the many lakes in the city. I made my first trek to the Northeast when I moved to Boston for residency at BMC! I was thrilled to match here due to the strong commitment to underserved populations and excellent medical education curriculum. Residency was fantastic: being able to practice in a mission-driven environment surrounded by some of my best friends made it a rewarding 3 years. In my chief year, I plan to continue my passions of advancing our educational curriculum and improving life at BMC for our residents. Following chief year, I plan to be an Internist practicing Academic Hospital medicine. Outside of work, you can find me and my wife Vicky exploring Boston by walking or biking to new cafes in the area!<\/p>\n

Camilo Toro<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I grew up in Massachusetts but lived in Philadelphia for college before attending Duke University for medical school. I was so excited to return home to BMC IM Residency for our shared mission to take excellent care of New England’s most vulnerable patients. My time at BMC has been shaped by the excellent clinical training and the community of family and friends that I have around Boston and BMC. Before moving on to Cardiology fellowship, I am excited to work with our residents to make BMC the best training experience in the country. Outside of the hospital, I love playing soccer, going on long bike rides, and striving to make the perfect cup of coffee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tatyana Nguyen<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I\u2019m originally from New Jersey and went to Cooper Medical School of Rowan University before heading up to Boston for residency. I\u2019m interested in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with a growing passion for medical education. As chief, I\u2019m working with the team to build a supportive learning environment, developing a curriculum to help IMG residents transition into the U.S. healthcare system and working closely with interns to support their clinical growth. Outside the hospital, you\u2019ll find me exploring restaurants with my husband, trying new recipes, or being bossed around by our two adopted street cats, Mew and Cam. I\u2019m always down for bubble tea, hot pot, or a good medical mystery.<\/p>\n

Brittany Hansen<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I am originally from the suburbs of Dallas, TX, and attended the University of Oklahoma for college, where I majored in music arts and instrumental performance. I then returned to Texas for medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. During medical school I also completed a Master of Public Health degree, which inspired me to pursue a career in primary care as a way to effect meaningful change through longitudinal relationships and preventative medicine. I moved to Boston in 2022 for residency at BMC and joined the Primary Care Track program. My time at BMC has been shaped by the community of friends and mentors that I found here, and I have loved learning and growing alongside them. Professionally my interests include medical education, primary care for patients living with HIV, and women’s health. Following chief year, I am planning on joining an academic medical practice to continue to grow as a primary care provider while maintaining a connection to medical education. Outside of work, I enjoy baking and cooking with my partner, Omar, and relaxing at home with our two cats, Ollie and Clem!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ramya Singhal<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

After growing up just outside Washington D.C., Ramya completed her undergraduate and medical education at the University of Miami. During internal medicine residency at Boston Medical Center, she has been enriched by the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while deepening her clinical and research interests in refugee health disparities and gastrointestinal motility. She plans to pursue a career in gastroenterology with a focus in medical education. Outside of the hospital, you can find Ramya exploring Boston\u2019s restaurant scene, playing the piano, or walking around Jamaica Pond.<\/span><\/p>\n

John Stone<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I grew up in Syracuse, NY, and spent my early adulthood in Albany, NY while studying at Siena College and subsequently Albany Medical College. During my time in undergrad as well as medical school, I was fortunate to work directly with underserved communities both locally and abroad, and naturally was drawn to the mission of Boston Medical Center to pursue my Internal Medicine training. After three incredible years of residency at BMC, I am thrilled to start my new role as the VA Boston Clinical Chief at West Roxbury and serve our nation\u2019s veterans. After chief year, I plan on pursuing a career in academic cardiology and medical education. When I\u2019m not in the hospital, you can find me wandering the North End with my girlfriend Mari in search of the city\u2019s best cannoli as well as rooting for my beloved Buffalo Bills.<\/p>\n

Danielle Davis<\/strong>, Chief Medical Resident (Research)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dr. Davis is the Chief Resident of Research at Boston Medical Center and is an NIH R38 grant recipient in the Promoting Research in Medical Residency (PRIMER) program. Within her role, she oversees the evidence-based medicine didactics. She also works one-on-one with residents and coordinates a “research course” which gives residents hands-on research experience. Her research interests include cardiometabolic disease, heart failure, and healthcare disparities.<\/span><\/p>\n
