Candidates who have successfully completed at least the first two years of residency in Internal Medicine will be considered for entry into the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training.\u00a0 Our training program is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).\u00a0 Upon completion, trainees are eligible to sit for the ABIM subspecialty infectious diseases board exam.<\/p>\n<p>Applications to the Boston University Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program should be submitted through the Electronic Residency Applications Service (ERAS) administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).\u00a0 To apply, please visit the ERAS online website at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aamc.org\/students\/medstudents\/eras\/fellowship_applicants\/\">https:\/\/www.aamc.org\/students\/medstudents\/eras\/fellowship_applicants\/<\/a>.\u00a0 Please submit your application as early as possible to expedite scheduling of interviews.<\/p>\n<p>The following materials are required for applications to the Fellowship Training in Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Center:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ERAS Common Application Form<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>Personal Statement<\/li>\n<li>Letters of Recommendation (3)<\/li>\n<li>USMLE Transcripts or Complex Transcripts from Osteopathic Medical Schools<\/li>\n<li>Official Medical School Transcripts<\/li>\n<li>Photograph (optional but helpful)<\/li>\n<li>ECFMG (International \u00a0Medical Graduates only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Interview and Selection Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications will be reviewed once all the requirements listed above have been received by the program through ERAS.<\/li>\n<li>Interviews are usually held on\u00a0Thursdays during\u00a0September and October. During the visit applicants will meet with members of the faculty and have lunch with the current fellows.
