Dr. Manish Sagar is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Sagar’s research focuses on the pathogenesis of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 heterosexual transmission and understanding strategies to prevent spread. Dr. Sagar has an active laboratory with funding from the National Institutes of Health and other independent agencies.  Dr. Sagar has served on numerous committees including NIH study sections and Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Early Career Development Award Review Committee. He is an active member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA).
