Dr. Assoumou is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine. She trained at the combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Brown University and completed infectious diseases fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Her current research focuses on improving outcomes in individuals infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and/or hepatitis C (HCV) using comparative and cost-effectiveness analyses.
