In this role, he has cared for patients with complex chronic illnesses, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, hypertension, and transplant-related conditions. He has also been recognized for his excellence in patient care, receiving the Tufts Medical Center Saltonstall Employee of the Month Award in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his work at Tufts, Ticco served at Boston Medical Center in the Department of Surgery&#8217;s Pre-Procedure Clinic and previously practiced in primary care at Newton-Wellesley. His broad clinical background, commitment to patient education, and experience working in multidisciplinary teams will be tremendous assets to our patients and the Amyloidosis Center.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his clinical accomplishments, Ticco is deeply committed to service and education. He has participated in numerous international medical service initiatives, served on the Medical Advisory Committee for Timmy Global Health, and has extensive experience mentoring future healthcare professionals.
