Kim received a PhD at the Stem Cell Institute in Leuven, Belgium and has been a post-doctoral fellow in the Murphy lab.\u00a0 During this time she has made exciting contributions in the field of red blood cell disorders, recently focusing her efforts on novel strategies to treat sickle cell disease.
