Dr. Mollie Barnard and Dr. Ruben Dries 2026 Dahod Breast Cancer Research Award Recipients
We are very pleased to share that two of our own, Mollie Barnard, ScD, and Ruben Dries, PhD, have been named as recipients of the 2026 Dahod Pilot Grant Program Fund through the Shamim and Ashraf Dahod Breast Cancer Research Center.
Drs. Barnard and Dries will evaluate whether tumor samples from the Black Women’s Health Study can be used for high-resolution mapping of immune cells in breast cancer. Their project will assess data quality and determine optimal tissue-sampling approaches to better characterize each tumor’s immune environment — work that has important implications for improving our understanding of breast cancer biology and disparities in care.
Please join us in congratulating Mollie and Ruben on this well-deserved recognition and exciting work!
