Brown announced a brand-new LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center at Boston University, expected to open at the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>The center will be located on the second floor of 808 Commonwealth Avenue, on the Charles River Campus, near existing spaces like\u00a0the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/thurman\/\" target=\"_blank\">Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>and the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/thecenter\/\" target=\"_blank\">LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty &amp; Staff<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At Graduate Medical Sciences, we are excited to work with the new LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center to continue to provide a safe space, resources, events and opportunities for connection via channels like our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/students\/c3center\/gplus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Community Catalyst Center (C3) <em>g<\/em>PLUS affinity group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/articles\/2023\/boston-university-new-lgbtqia-student-resource-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read the full story from\u00a0<em>BU Today\u00a0<\/em>here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A joint memo from Jean Morrison, University provost and chief academic officer, and President Robert A.
