Fall 2021 Bill Settlement<\/h2>\n

Have you applied for financial aid for Fall 2021?<\/p>\n

If you will be enrolled in classes for the 2021-22 school year, please visit\u00a0GMS Applying for Aid\u00a0page<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0all relevant application information. The\u00a0Fall 2021 or Spring 2022\u00a0Application Requirements section includes links to the 2021-22\u00a0FAFSA and the 2021-22\u00a0GMS\u00a0Financial Aid Application.\u00a0Please note, in order to receive federal financial aid during a period of enrollment you must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.<\/p>\n

Fall 2021\u00a0Payment Deadline<\/b><\/p>\n

Please view the bill due date for the fall 2021 semester on the Student Accounting Services\u00a0page<\/a>. Some financial aid will not disburse until your first day of fall classes. You do not need to prepay tuition and fees if ample financial aid is secured by the bill deadline.\u00a0If\u00a0your pending financial aid covers\u00a0your fall bill, you won\u2019t incur any late fees or holds on your student account.\u00a0Please visit the link provided or email\u00a0studenta@bu.edu<\/a>\u00a0with any payment or billing questions\u00a0unrelated to financial aid processing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Loan Adjustments\u00a0Request<\/b><\/p>\n

If you need to adjust your financial aid award to reduce the amount of loans you wish to borrow or for a change in your enrollment\u00a0plans\u00a0please contact our office by email at\u202fosfs-gms@bu.edu<\/a>andwe will adjust your account.\u202f\u202fPlease remember to include your name and BU ID in the email when communicating the change request.\u00a0It is best to wait until charges for fall 2021 and financial aid has been posted on your student account, so that you can then be sure of the changes you are requesting.<\/p>\n

SFS has partnered with\u00a0AccessLex<\/b>, a non-profit that\u00a0offers free financial education programming and resources to help students and graduates manage their finances and loan repayment.\u00a0We recommend you check out\u00a0AccessLex\u2019s\u00a0webinar,\u00a0The Road to Zero: A Strategic Approach to Student Loan Repayment<\/a>. The webinar is usually offered twice a month. You can also\u00a0set up a free 1:1 meeting<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0one of their Accredited Financial Counselors to discuss your specific loans and repayment strategies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Student Financial Services is excited to be operating on a hybrid work schedule! Stop our office in suite B-401<\/a> in the Robinson Building where you can meet with an SFS staff member in-person Monday through Friday. While transitioning back into the office, we will still maintain the Zoom virtual office hours. Each session is now open to all students from BUSM, GMS, SDM or SPH.
