Each of our master’s programs have individual faculty mentoring in place, as well as peer-to-peer and near-peer mentoring. Our professional preparation master’s programs, such as Medical and Oral Health Sciences, offer strong support during the medical and dental school admissions processes.<\/p>\n

You can meet with Lauren to review your CV\/resume and cover letters, prepare for interviews, discuss networking skills, learn social media tools for job searching and more. Founded in 2009, Boston-based Propel Careers is a life sciences search and career development firm with the unique distinction of being dedicated to networking, mentoring, and career development. Lauren is a BU alumna who has worked with thousands of students, postdocs, medical residents and professionals to advance their careers and with > 50 companies to help them hire talent. She has a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Gettysburg College and an MBA with a focus in the health sector and entrepreneurship from Boston University.<\/p>\n

The Director of Professional Development at GMS offers office hours for all GMS graduate students and postdocs in need of discussing career exploration, job search, networking, and more… topics, and to review Individual Development Plans (IDPs) or job application documents. Please book a 30-min appointment with B\u00e9n\u00e9<\/span> here<\/a>, and email her<\/a> any documents that you would like her to review 24 hours before the appointment at the latest.<\/p>\n

Graduate and Postdoc Success Office Hours<\/h4>

The BU Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Success (GPS)<\/a> provides professional development support to all BU PhD students and postdoctoral scholars. Virtual and in-person one-on-one meetings can be booked to discuss or review an IDP, a CV or Resume, prepare for job interviews, or discuss any other matter, with Lauren Easterling, PhD<\/a>, Assistant Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Development.<\/p>\n

Community Catalyst Center (C3)<\/h4>
<\/p>\n

Graduate Medical Sciences believes that an enriching educational experience is strengthened by diversity of thought, which in turn drives the forces of innovation. Our Community Catalyst Center (C3) opened its doors in August 2021 with the goal of fostering holistic success for the diverse GMS student community. C3 helps students acclimate to Boston and the Medical Campus and adjust to the advancing academics of graduate school while gaining a sense of belonging early in the programs at GMS.<\/p>\n
