GMS will be hosting a virtual Accepted Student Day on Wednesday, June 24<\/strong> over Zoom (time tentatively 12-4pm EST).\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>Students can learn about housing, financial aid, student life and starting their academic journey at GMS.\u00a0 More information will be posted as it becomes available.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Orientation will be held on Monday August 31, 2026<\/b>. The Main GMS Orientation, scheduled for that morning,\u00a0 will include faculty, staff, and current students delivering brief, informative presentations and be available to answer questions. Program-specific orientations will follow in the afternoon. You are required to attend both the Main GMS Orientation and your program-specific orientation. A detailed schedule will be sent in August.<\/p>\n NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong> (1) The MS in Oral Health Sciences Orientation<\/strong> will be held on Thursday,\u00a0 July 30, 2026 with classes starting August 3. <\/strong>\u00a0 Information will be mailed directly to OHS students with specific details.\u00a0 For<\/span> additional information please reach out to ohs@bu.edu<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span>(2) The MS in Physician Assistant Orientation<\/strong> will be held during the first week of August. Information about PA Orientation will be sent directly to those students.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n All incoming students are required to submit final, official transcripts, degree certificates, or\u00a0other official documents\u00a0that outline\u00a0any previously conferred degree(s) to the GMS Admissions\u00a0Office. Official transcripts\u00a0must<\/em>\u00a0be sent directly from your degree-granting institution to GMS. They should be sent electronically to Boston University Graduate Medical Sciences at \u00a0GMScrpt@bu.edu<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0 Students must write in this address and not use any of the automated BU email addressed provided.\u00a0 Alternatively, if electronic email is not available, transcripts may be sent via regular mail, or carrier, in a sealed envelope to the address below:<\/p>\n Attn: GMS Admissions Failure to submit degree awarded official transcripts by September 1st<\/sup> will result in a registration hold placed on your MyBU Student Portal for the fall 2026 semester which it will prevent you from adding or dropping courses for fall 2026 and registering for Spring 2026 semester.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine requires a Medical History and Physical Report Form\u00a0for all new students. Students in non-clinical programs should complete the Graduate or Transfer Student\u00a0form<\/a> <\/span>while students in clinical programs (Physician Assistant, Clinical Research, Genetic Counseling, and Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine) should complete the medical, dental, or clinical medical sciences student form<\/a>.<\/span> Completed forms can be uploaded to the\u00a0Patient Connect Portal<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Any questions should be directed to Student Health Services at 617-353-3575. You will not be allowed to register for classes until proof of required immunizations is submitted to Student Health Services. For any additional questions about medical immunization, please visit \u00a0the\u00a0FAQ section<\/a><\/span>\u00a0on BU\u2019s Student Health Services website.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Financial Aid & Tuition\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Matriculating students who wish to apply for financial assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application form to be eligible for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. Visit the\u00a0FAFSA<\/a>\u00a0website to access the application. For assistance in navigating the FAFSA process, visit the\u00a0Financial Aid FAFSA Tutorial playlist<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Once your FAFSA is filed, you will need to complete the online Entrance Counseling and electronically sign a Master Promissory Note. For further information regarding the financial aid application process, please go to the\u00a0Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 GMS Aid Applicant Requirement<\/em>\u00a0dropdown\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Many full-time degree candidates will need to find an alternative loan program to supplement the funds received from the Federal Direct Loan program. Review these options for\u00a0additional loans<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0scholarships<\/span>.<\/a>\u00a0GMS also has a list of\u00a0funding opportunities<\/a><\/span>\u00a0to consider as well.\u00a0 BUMC Student Financial Services counselors can provide further guidance on the search process.
