Hi Everyone,<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t know how we made it through another Zoom year, but we did! \u00a0You are invited to our second (and hopefully last) virtual HIR Student Achievement Day<\/u> that will span two days. We must celebrate our students!<\/p>\n

I will be opening the Zoom site at 9:00 AM on Thursday May 6th<\/sup> so that you can greet each other and we will be starting the Keynote Address with the Introduction at 9:20 AM (Dr. Daniel Haber<\/strong>, Director of the MGH Cancer Center, \u201cCirculating Tumor Cells: Insights into\u00a0Cancer Metastasis\u201d<\/strong>.\u00a0 The itinerary for our days will be posted shortly on the GMS website along with information regarding our award winners! There will be our Poster Sessions following the Keynote Lecture<\/strong> on Thursday. Friday, we will host the Student Award Winning Talks<\/strong>. All posters in our interactive session will be presented as high resolution PDFs (8 min per student) and student talks will be in our standard PowerPoint format (8 min talk followed by 2 min of questions).<\/p>\n

Invitation to 2021 Virtual Event<\/h4>
<\/p>\n

Dear Students and Faculty,<\/p>\n

I know many of you are wondering what has happened regarding our plans for HIR Student Achievement Day 2021. Given that we have not yet shaken off the reins of the pandemic, we will again be holding our event virtualy over two days so that you are not glued to your computer. It will occur on May 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup>. Our Keynote Speaker this year will be Dr. Daniel Haber, the Director of the Mass General Hospital Cancer Center. We have been trying for three years to fit into his schedule and are truly excited that he will be able to join us!<\/p>\n

We will continue with the conferring of award winners by the designated April 26th<\/sup> deadline. I will be contacting our GMS HIR Awards Committee for further specific information regarding the award nomination and ratification process. Mr. Jorge Fortin at GMS will be the point person for any additional questions you might have regarding the specifics of our format as it becomes available.<\/p>\n

I wish you all good health and patience to get through this period because fun times are around the corner.<\/p>\n
