To be eligible for admission to the MS in Medical Sciences program, applicants must satisfy all requirements set forth below:<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Graduating Institution and Competency<\/h3>
<\/span><\/p>\n
    \n
  • Graduated from a 4 year US or Canadian college\/university.<\/li>\n
  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0.*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    *Applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA requirement but who possess a highly credentialed near-complete medical school applicant profile will be considered.<\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

    Coursework<\/h3>
    <\/p>\n
      \n
    • 2 semesters each of the following premedical coursework ( “C” grade minimum (remediations OK, each with lab):\n
        \n
      • General Chemistry<\/li>\n
      • General Biology<\/li>\n
      • Organic Chemistry\n
          \n
        • Please note that one semester of Organic Chemistry\u00a0can be replaced with\u00a0Biochemistry<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Physics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • It is strongly suggested that additional upper level Biology, as well as introductory Sociology and Psychology courses, be taken prior to the start of the program.<\/li>\n
        • While we prefer the above prerequisites be completed at a 4-year institution, we will accept credits earned at a community college.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Materials<\/h3>
          <\/span><\/p>\n
            \n
          • An UNOFFICIAL, English transcript (or your university’s equivalent) of each college or university attended at the time of application.<\/strong> This should be uploaded to complete your application in the section \u201cSupporting Information > Documents.\u201d \u00a0If you have multiple unofficial transcripts from the same college or university, combine them into one upload.<\/span>\n
              \n
            • GMS\u00a0<\/span>DOES NOT<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>require official transcript until you are admitted.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
            • 3 letters of recommendation, at least 1 from a science faculty member<\/strong>*.\u00a0 Applicants who have previously applied to medical school may use the same documents to apply to this program.<\/li>\n
            • Personal statement:<\/strong> In two pages or less, address your motivations for pursuing medicine.<\/li>\n
            • Resume or CV<\/strong> highlighting your work and\/or research experiences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              *We prefer a letter from at least one science faculty member who can speak to your characteristics as a student. If you are unable to provide this for whatever reason, we will accept a letter from anyone who can speak to your work ethic and character, as long as they have observed you in a supervisory capacity.<\/p>\n
