They ensure that all of our GMS organizations center around the three pillars of: Community & Service; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Professional Development.<\/p>\n
\n- Biomedical PhD Student Organization (BPSO)<\/strong>
\nThe\u00a0Biomedical PhD Student Organization<\/a> (BPSO) aims to build and strengthen the community among PhD programs at BUMC and to cultivate camaraderie among Biomedical Science PhD students.<\/li>\n- Boston University Science Policy Network (BUSPN)<\/strong>
\nThe BU Science Policy Network<\/a> group at Boston University is committed to fostering a community of scientists engaged in public policy.<\/li>\n- BU Biotech Consulting Club (BBCC)\u00a0<\/strong>The BU Biotech Consulting Club<\/a>\u00a0is for advance degree students at Boston University to work on case studies in life sciences and biotech, and provide career development toward the consulting industry.<\/li>\n

\nThe Minority and International Scientists Organization<\/a> provides a supportive and enriched environment to the diverse population of Boston University scientists via various social and academic events.<\/li>\n- Student Advisory Board

Please review the guidelines that clarify the Professional Relationship Between Liaison and Student Organization<\/a>.<\/p>\nStudent Organization Meeting & Events<\/strong><\/p>\nAll student organizations planning a meeting or event MUST<\/em> submit the Student Organization Event Request Form<\/a>\u00a0at least 2 weeks prior to the event. GMS will be able to assist you best by early planning.\u00a0 If your group would like an event advertised, please fill out our GMS News and Event Submission Form<\/a>.<\/p>\nAll student organizations hosting an event must adhere to the Guidelines for Presence of Alcohol at Student Events & Financial Reimbursement for Alcohol and Food<\/a>.<\/p>\nAllocation Meetings<\/strong><\/p>\nAll student organizations will participate in an allocation meeting in the spring semester to propose a budget for the upcoming school year. Each student organization will complete the Student Organization Budget Document<\/a> in advance and submit it to GMS Student Affairs (gmssa@bu.edu). When creating a budget proposal, student organizations are required to include estimated room reservation costs.
