BUMC Provost and BUSM Dean Antman followed this by saying \u201c<\/span><i>we are determined to celebrate all of your collective achievements and accomplishments virtually<\/i><span>\u201d. \u00a0In the near future, GMS will send specific details about our virtual celebration\u00a0<\/span><b>on May 14<\/b><span>\u00a0as we are actively adapting to this changing situation.\u00a0 As more information becomes available we will update the GMS Commencement pages.\u00a0 Additionally, we will post the\u00a0 new date for the <em>in-person<\/em> Commencement ceremony late summer\/early fall when available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Please check back for regular updates<\/h5>\n<p><b><strong>MD\/PhD and PhD. B&amp;N has assured us that if students would like to return their regalia, they can get a refund up. Please check with BU B&amp;N for eligibility and terms and conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Students have two sets of regalia to be mindful of when thinking about May\u2019s ceremony: their own regalia; and the regalia of their hooder. Hooders are typically a <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BUSM\/GMS faculty member such as your\u00a0<\/span>PI research mentor, program advisor or program director. Occasionally, someone, not BU affiliated (such as a family member) will hood you.\u00a0 All hooders must hold<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and wear regalia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that <em><strong>the student is responsible for asking and confirming with your chosen faculty member that they will be attending the May 14th Commencement ceremony<\/strong><\/em> and have ordered regalia.\u00a0 Please indicate your hooder when completing the Commencement form (you will receive via email). Faculty regalia deadline through GMS is 2\/15\/19.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>NON-BU HOODER REGALIA<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>If your selected hooder is NOT BUSM faculty<\/u><\/strong>, please forward these instructions to your hooder to order their regalia.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to:<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/facultydirect.herffjones.com\/\">herffjones.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Select Boston University from the drop-down menu.
