{"id":551,"date":"2010-06-21T13:28:10","date_gmt":"2010-06-21T17:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/?page_id=551"},"modified":"2026-05-05T06:39:03","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T10:39:03","slug":"how-to-apply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/ohs\/admissions\/how-to-apply\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Apply"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"background-color: white; padding: 3%;\">\n<h4>Deadline<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Applications for 2026 are open and have been extended to May 25, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Academic Requirements include:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a baccalaureate degree from a US or Canadian institution.<\/li>\n<li>Two completed semesters of the following courses: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, and Physics,\u00a0all including lab.\n<ul>\n<li>It is strongly suggested that additional upper level Biology courses (such as systems physiology and biochemistry) be completed prior to beginning the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Submission of results of the<span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ada.org\/education\/testing\/exams\/dental-admission-test-dat\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" style=\"color: #0066cc;\">Dental Admission Test<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>The minimum admissions requirements are an undergraduate GPA of 2.9 with an DAT score of 17 (370 new scale).
