Curriculum<\/h3>\n

In the first year PhD students will participate in the Foundations in Biomedical Sciences (FBS)<\/a> core curriculum as well as have the opportunity to select elective courses<\/a> focused on area-specific interests.\u00a0 Additionally, trainees will have the opportunity to experience laboratory rotations and attend research seminars.\u00a0 Trainees will work closely with a faculty advisor in the development of an individual plan that will be tailored to serve specific research and professional goals.\u00a0 After selection of a laboratory, students will join the program\/department with which the mentor is affiliated and continue advanced studies towards candidacy.<\/p>\n

Laboratory Rotations<\/h3>\n

Each student will complete one (1) lab rotation in the first semester and two (2) lab rotations in the second semester in consultation with their advisor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
