Our master’s programs have strong faculty mentoring in place as well as peer-peer and near-peer mentoring.\u00a0 Additionally, our professional preparation masters programs such as Medical and Oral Health Sciences provide strong support during the medical and dental school admissions process. We strive to train professionals in a diverse number of career pathways as they move towards their personal career goals. Doctoral candidates have opportunities to train in both theoretical and practical training for future careers in various scientific sectors. \u00a0The activities include seminars, panels and workshops.\u00a0 The programming continues to develop and change over time as we learn of trainees’\u00a0interests and needs.<\/p>\n
We strive to meet the diverse needs of our trainees by enhancing their skills in:<\/strong><\/p>\n to assure that our PhDs, MD\/PhDs,\u00a0 and post-doctoral fellows are prepared for successful careers in academia, industry, local or federal government or where ever they may choose to work after BU.<\/p>\n Most PhD programs have integrated professional development courses \/ curriculum woven into their programs.<\/p>\n Additionally, the Charles River Campus PDPA provides professional development skills,<\/a> through their Core Capacitie<\/a>s programming, These are learned through their\u00a0 PhD Progression<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 online micro-credentialing platform that allows students to explore, build the recommended PhD Core Capacities<\/a>. Lauren has worked with thousands of students, postdocs, medical residents and professionals to advance their careers and with > 50 companies to help them hire talent.\u00a0 Before Propel, she spent about 10 years in life sciences advancing drug molecules through SNBL USA, Aptuit, Quintiles, and Absorption Systems.
