Laboratories include settings conducting \u201cwet\u201d (bench laboratory) and \u201cdry\u201d (quantitative\/computational) research.\u00a0 Clinical research settings are excluded from rotation options since every Fellow will participate in the Clinical Module.<\/p>\n<p>If the student\u2019s prior home program rotation experiences are in \u201cwet\u201d laboratories, the student must select a \u201cdry\u201d laboratory, and vice-versa.\u00a0 This requirement ensures that all TTPAS students are exposed to research in both basic and population sciences. At the end of the rotation, students are required to submit a written report to the program faculty member directing the laboratory. The report includes a description of the activities and results of any experiments or analyses performed by the student.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The program is designed to teach how to develop projects. The ability to differentiate between which paths to follow and which to abandon is of critical significance to innovative investigators.
