Although much has been learned about the genetic basis of and biochemical imbalances associated with the addictions, research leading to effective treatments has been slow. Addictions researchers using clinical and epidemiological approaches usually do not collaborate with those conducting basic research in cells and animal models because they do not share the same language, skill sets or perspective.<\/p>\n
This unique,\u00a0multi-disciplinary<\/strong> and\u00a0transformative<\/strong> training program,\u00a0 the TTPAS fellowship bridges this gap and assists in building a broad skill set through existing Boston University doctoral programs.
