{"id":25303,"date":"2012-12-17T14:21:18","date_gmt":"2012-12-17T19:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/?page_id=25303"},"modified":"2023-05-08T10:16:53","modified_gmt":"2023-05-08T14:16:53","slug":"ttpas","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/ttpas\/","title":{"rendered":"BU\u2019s Transformative Training Program in Addiction Science"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<b>Transformative Training Program in Addiction Science<\/b> or TTPAS, supported by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, prepares doctoral students to apply diverse approaches to\u00a0<b><i>addiction research <\/i><\/b>using tools from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>bench science<\/li>\n<li>medicine<\/li>\n<li>population studies<\/li>\n<li>statistics<\/li>\n<li>computational biology<\/li>\n<li>behavioral neuroscience<\/li>\n<li>public health &amp; policy<\/li>\n<li>social work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This program is for doctoral level training in addiction science for\u00a0<b>students enrolled and at an early stage in a BU\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/ttpas\/participating-programs-across-bu\/\">doctoral programs<\/a><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/ttpas\/participating-programs-across-bu\/\"> <\/a><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/ttpas\/participating-programs-across-bu\/\">participating in TTPAS<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Boston University is ranked among the top three in the nation in the impact of it substance abuse research.
