Student research committees will be chosen in the first year and students are required to meet with their committee regularly.<\/p>\n<h4>Student Resources<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/gms\/students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> GMS Students<\/a> page is a resource to help guide you through your academic career at BUSM. This portal provides access to important documents and forms required by GMS including Registration, Tuition and Financial Aid, Health Insurance, Thesis, Dissertation and Graduation, Policies and Procedures, the Student Handbook and Support Services, among other information.<\/p>\n<h4>Forensic Anthropology Student Guidelines<\/h4>\n<p>All students should read and be familiar with the Forensic Anthropology Student Guidelines for their respective entry years. Travel awards will be granted based on the merit of the proposed thesis proposal and will be granted by the Graduate Student Committee.<\/p>\n<p>A limited number of Peer Tutoring and Work Study opportunities are available for students.<\/p>\n<p>The Boston University Women\u2019s Guild scholarships awards scholarships to women enrolled in graduate programs at Boston University. For more information please visit the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/womensguild\/scholarships-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston University Women&#8217;s Guild website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Professional Organizations<\/h4>\n<p>Students are strongly encouraged to join the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aafs.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">American Academy of Forensic Sciences<\/a> and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/physanth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">American Association of Physical Anthropology<\/a>.
