Two talks will be provided in each category, in the following order:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Early-career PhDs or MD-PhDs<\/li>\n<li>PhDs or MD-PhDs<\/li>\n<li>Postdoctoral Fellows<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Poster presentations and judging<\/h2>\n<p><strong><em>1:10 \u2013 2:45 p.m.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GMS Research Symposium Poster Award candidates will present their work in two sessions based on their designated numbers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ODD numbers: <strong>1:10 \u2013 1:55 p.m<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>EVEN numbers: <strong>2:00 \u2013 2:45 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All posters will be judged on the spot and results will be tabulated at the end of the session.<\/p>\n<h2>Award announcement and photos<\/h2>\n<p><strong><em>2:50 \u2013 3:00 p.m.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Results of the GMS Research Symposium Poster Award will be announced.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>How to Apply<\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>Applications for the Poster and Talk Award have now closed.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Poster guidelines and logistics<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/local.fedex.com\/en-us\/ma\/boston\/office-5013\">FedEx facility at 700 Albany Street<\/a> is the most convenient location for poster printing. Please refer to the guidelines below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No larger<\/strong> than 48 inches by 36 inches<\/li>\n<li>Photo satin paper<\/li>\n<li>Provided to printer as a PDF or cloud link, with all files accessible without a login<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/medstudentresearch\/files\/__restricted\/entire-bu-community\/PosterTemplate2023.pptx\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Be sure to place the order well ahead of the event (1 week or more) to ensure there are no delays. Don&#8217;t forget to mention you are a BU student to get any available discounted offers.<\/p>\n<p>Presenters should arrive to Hiebert Lounge between 11:00 am and 11:30 am. Upon arrival, you will receive a number for your poster slot. The poster locations are pre-assigned, so presenters may not select their own location. Please plan on leaving your poster up until the event&#8217;s conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>Posters will be judged on the 1) effectiveness of the presentation, 2) visual appeal and logical layout of the poster, 3) adherence to time, and 4) science.
