Personal Facts/Hobbies:

I’m a current Master’s student in the Clinical Research program at BU. I’ve had an unconventional journey into medicine, shaped by resilience and determination. Originally from India, I pursued my medical education in St. Lucia. Despite facing challenges, including being evacuated from a war zone in Ukraine, I remained steadfast in my commitment to medicine.

My experiences have fueled a passion for improving trauma outcomes through research. I’m particularly interested in healthcare policy-oriented research and integrating clinical research into surgical practice, aiming to become a surgical scientist dedicated to enhancing patient care.

I believe in the power of evidence-based medicine to drive positive change, and I’m excited about the opportunity to further my surgical education and clinical research interests. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to the field of surgery while continually striving to make a difference in healthcare.

Apart from enjoying being very busy with board prep, coursework for my master’s program, and getting as much research experience as I can, I do enjoy taking breaks for myself. That would be my time to catch up with Grey’s Anatomy, cook, sleep, and scroll through social media!
