How to sign your patient up for MyChart remotely

Two ways to do this:

Option 1 (preferred): Send email invitation

1. When in a patient encounter, go to the bottom left corner of screen and click “More”
2. Click “MyChart Utilities” –> Click “MyChart Administration”
3. This opens a new window.  At the top left of this window is a button called “MyChart Email Signup.”

Option 2: Patient Self-service

Instruct patient to visit website: https://mychart.bmc.org/mychart/signup

They will need to provide:

• Name
• Address
• Email
• SSN (last 4 digits)
• Medical record number from Epic (you will need to provide this to the patient)
