(Bruno Debas, Boston Medical Center)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Boston Medical Center&#8217;s Grayken Center for Addiction hosted the third annual <a href=\"https:\/\/event.fourwaves.com\/togetherforhope2026\/pages\">Together for Hope Addiction Conference<\/a> at Hynes Convention Center in Boston at the end of April. The event brought together addiction experts and advocates across Massachusetts to collaborate, share innovations, and &#8220;inspire hope in the fight against addiction.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kiame Mahaniah, the Secretary of Health and Human Services in Massachusetts, and Dr. Yngvild Olsen, a National Advisor with Manatt Health, delivered a joint keynote speech on the first day of the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Zachary Rich, a research fellow in the Section of General Internal Medicine, gave the keynote speech for the second day of the conference. Dr. Rich&#8217;s research focuses on understanding and reducing tobacco use with an emphasis on its social and behavioral determinants.
