She previously served as the medical director of the Boston Accountable Care Organization Complex Care Management program at the hospital. In addition to a love of primary care, her main interest is in teaching social justice and advocacy skills.<\/p>\n<p>Her nominators say, \u201cDr. Kimball has led a very active effort in the section of general internal medicine to engage in anti-racism activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe formed discussion groups for GIM faculty, engaged grand rounds speakers, and collected input from the anti-racism committee for the section chief hire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr. Kimball works to promote gender and race equity in hiring and academic advancements.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Associate Professor of Medicine\/GIM Sarah Kimball, MD has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for November.
