This designation is given to faculty at the Professor rank whose academic achievements have greatly impacted their field in research, education or clinical care. This award includes a stipend to support their respective academic programs. Dr.\u00a0<\/span><span data-markjs=\"true\" class=\"mark7yt5kupa3\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Perls<\/span><span>\u00a0was one of five physicians selected, and the one representing the Geriatrics department.
