The Boston University Alzheimer\u2019s Disease Center was established in 1996 as one of 29 centers in the US funded by the National Institutes of Health to advance research on Alzheimer\u2019s diseaseand related conditions. The Center is jointly based at the Boston University Medical Campus and Bedford VA Medical Center. In 2008, the Center began researching Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).
