Regular Steering Committee meetings facilitate effective coordination, problem-solving, and adherence to research compliance guidelines.

Research Stimulation: We have established a pilot grant program to encourage innovative AD research among early-career investigators and those new to the field. In 2024, three pilot grants were awarded to promising researchers in biomedical genetics, epidemiology, and computational biology.

Financial Management and Administrative Support: The program provides comprehensive financial oversight and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of all FHS-BAP activities. This includes budget management, hiring, and reporting to funding agencies.

Research Innovation and Collaboration: FHS-BAP fosters a collaborative research environment by organizing regular science meetings and promoting research dissemination. These efforts have led to a significant increase in abstract submissions, grant applications, and publications.

Mentorship and Training: We are committed to nurturing the next generation of AD researchers. The program offers mentorship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students, as well as early-career faculty.

Community Engagement: FHS-BAP actively engages with the broader research community through co-hosted seminars and symposia focused on AD. These events bring together leading experts and foster knowledge exchange.

By effectively addressing these key objectives, FHS-BAP is making substantial contributions to the field of Alzheimer’s disease research and advancing our understanding of this complex condition.

The goal of the administrative core is to provide a formal management and leadership infrastructure for the FHS-BAP.
