Project 1: Weining Lu<\/a> The mission of the Innovative Technology and Novel Biomarker Discovery and Development for Disease Diagnosis and Treatment\u00a0(B4D-ARC)\u00a0<\/strong>is to bring investigators together across the Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC: https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/<\/a>), Boston Medical Center (BMC: https:\/\/www.bmc.org\/<\/a>) and Charles River Campus (CRC: https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tag\/charles-river-campus\/<\/a>) to conduct translational cross-disease biomarker research to improve disease diagnosis and treatment. The B4D-ARC will comprise four research projects and two cores with more than 50 investigators and trainees from the Department of Medicine<\/a>, Ophthalmology<\/a>, Pathology<\/a>, Neurology<\/a>, BUMC Data Science Core<\/a>, and DOM Research Cores<\/a> at BU\/BMC, and the Biomedical Engineering Department<\/a> at CRC.<\/p>\n This ARC will focus on generating interdisciplinary research ideas for biomarker discovery and novel therapeutic development using new technology and a data science approach, forming new collaborations to publish jointly, and applying for muti-PI external grants. It will also establish a mechanism for sharing knowledge, data, and resources across four research projects in this ARC and provide trainees with new education opportunities in biomarker and data science translational research.\u00a0 Monthly meetings, seminars, and annual research symposiums will be organized regularly.<\/p>\n The B4D-ARC is co-directed by Drs.
