Our center works in close collaboration with\u00a0Boston Nutrition Obesity Research Center (BNORC).<\/p>\n<h2>Facilities and Equipment<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Research-only exam rooms for maximum availability<\/li>\n<li>ParvoMedics TrueOne<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> 2400 Canopy System metabolic cart<\/li>\n<li>GE Healthcare Lunar iDXA&#x2122; (Intelligent Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry) funded by BNORC<\/li>\n<li>Laboratory spaces, specimen storage, and processing\/analysis supplies\n<ul>\n<li>YSI 2300 STAT PlusTM Glucose and Lactate Analyzer<\/li>\n<li>Temperature-regulated centrifuge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Strong connection to BMC\u2019s Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition and Weight Management Clinic to facilitate recruitment<\/li>\n<li>Access to and use of BMC\u2019s services, including phlebotomy, laboratory services, and Investigational Pharmacy Services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Expert Consulting and Support<\/h2>\n<p>Our team of clinicians (MDs, NPs, RDs) and expert research staff (financial and clinical research managers) provide protocol design assistance, development of weight-related protocols, advising on the grant application process, procedural descriptions and training, and regulatory support.<\/p>\n<p>Our group and members of BNORC also provide the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequently sampled intravenous glucose tolerance tests<\/li>\n<li>Hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamps<\/li>\n<li>Adipose and muscle biopsies<\/li>\n<li>Indirect calorimetry<\/li>\n<li>DXA imaging<\/li>\n<li>Dietary data collection, assessment, and analysis<\/li>\n<li>Eating-related behavior modification counseling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><em>Patients and visitors:<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span>We are now recruiting for several studies!
