We are privileged to be based out of the old Boston City Hospital where we serve as the region\u2019s premier <\/span><b>safety net,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> caring for the most vulnerable patients.We take great pride in providing exceptional, evidence-based care to all patients regardless of race, color, religion, gender expression, national origin, disability, financial status, or sexual orientation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result of our commitment to care for all, BMC has emerged\u00a0 as a leader in <\/span><b>population health<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. We recognize the impact of <\/span><b>social determinants of health<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and utilize\u00a0 a multitude of progressive social services to meet the needs of our patients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our residents train at the <\/span><b>busiest and longest running Level 1 Trauma Center<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in New England and leave with the strength and confidence to treat the most critically injured and medically challenging patients.Our learners are exposed early to complex cases and procedural training with the opportunity to advance at their own pace as they acquire the competencies expected upon graduation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BMCs Boston Campus is where you will primarily train. We intentionally incorporate high-quality community EM experiences at three regional hospitals. This exposure fortifies our residents\u2019 understanding of systems-based practice in diverse Emergency Department settings,\u00a0 ensuring that residents develop the decision-making skills to treat or transfer complex cases in environments that do not have the full complement of subspecialty resources.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We take pride in tailoring education to match one\u2019s learning style. Our training program supplements the foundations of clinical EM training with a host of niche specialties residents can explore, including public and global health, medical education, EMS, pediatric emergency medicine, hospital administration and emergency ultrasound. We also have faculty dedicated to services surrounding addiction, equity, refugee and immigrant health. Our <\/span><b>curriculum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> includes five months of elective time to explore areas of future specialization whether that is as a community clinician, academician, administrator, educator, or any combination thereof.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is so much more to be said about our program!
