The members of the Research Section are a rich source of guidance and inspiration for residents. They are available to assist residents with planning research, applying for IRB approval, implementing studies, performing data analysis, as well as preparing abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.<\/p>\n<p><b>All PGY-2 residents receive time off and funding to attend the annual Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) conference. All PGY-4 residents receive time off and funding to attend the annual American College of Emergency Medicine (ACEP) conference.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Residents who have abstracts accepted for presentation at these conferences will also be supported to attend. An award is presented annually to the PGY4 graduate who has been most dedicated and productive towards research and\/or scholarship over the course of their training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Residents routinely present the results of their research at annual meetings such as the SAEM, the ACEP Research Forum, the New England Regional Meeting of SAEM, and the Massachusetts College of Emergency Medicine (MACEP). When appropriate, residents have presented their work at forums of special interest to emergency medicine such as the National Association of Emergency Medicine Physicians (NAEMSP), the North American Congress of Clinical Toxicology (NACCT), and other academic meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Publications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a
