Please read the information below carefully. It is important to properly set up your computer in preparation for an exam to minimize any technical issues during and after the exam.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"#in-person-exams\">In-Person Exams<\/a><\/h4>\n<h4><a href=\"#remote-proctored-exams\">Remote-Proctored Exams<\/a><\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4 id=\"in-person-exams\">In-Person Exams<\/h4>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Before Exam Day:<\/span><\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li>Download and install Examplify on your Windows or macOS computer by following the instructions from: <a href=\"https:\/\/examsoft.com\/busm\">https:\/\/examsoft.com\/busm<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Set up your computer with the following configuration:<br \/>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5>macOS Settings: Detailed (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.examsoft.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/11167826377101-Mac-Set-Up-the-Device-Permissions-for-ExamID-and-ExamMonitor#h_01GE05E68ZNQBH2AER32620M6G\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ExamSoft Link<\/a>)<\/h5>\n<p><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Take the Mock Assessment &#8216;<strong>Tech Test 2025-2026\u2019 (Password: Test2526)<\/strong>\u2019 to test your system before the actual Exam.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4 id=\"remote-proctored-exams\">Remote-Proctored Exams<\/h4>\n<p>In special circumstances. your instructor may hold a remote-proctored exam. This requires Examplify to access your webcam and microphone. Make sure your computer is configured correctly by referring to the following settings.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Before Exam Day:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure your computer is equipped with a webcam and a microphone. Note: iPads and Chromebooks are not supported.<\/li>\n<li>Please make sure that your camera, microphone, and screen recording settings are enabled for Examplify. (macOS 10.13\/10.14 does not have the option for \u201cscreen recording\u201d in the settings, but those versions are compatible).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5>macOS Settings: Detailed (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.examsoft.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/11167826377101-Mac-Set-Up-the-Device-Permissions-for-ExamID-and-ExamMonitor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ExamSoft Link<\/a>)<\/h5>\n<p>In addition to Full Disk Access and Screen Recording Access (see instructions above):<\/p>\n\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5>Windows Settings: Detailed (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.examsoft.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/11167812968717-Windows-Set-Up-the-Device-Permissions-for-ExamID-and-ExamMonitor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ExamSoft Link<\/a>)<\/h5>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Surface Pro Devices:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>If ExamID or Examplify is requesting camera access and it is already enabled or the camera selected is the rear-facing camera, you will need to disable the rear camera in the Device Manager. This process is different for the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Surface Pro 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Device Manager &gt; Cameras &gt; Microsoft LifeCam Rear &gt; Disable<\/li>\n<li>Device Manager &gt; Intel R AV Screen Camera &gt; Disable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Surface Pro 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Device Manager &gt; Imaging Devices &gt; Microsoft Camera Rear&gt; Disable<\/li>\n<li>Device Manager &gt; System Devices &gt; Microsoft Camera Rear&gt; Disable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>Additional Information:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Once you have these permissions enabled, you should restart your computer and then re-launch Examplify.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Examplify should be <a href=\"https:\/\/support.examsoft.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/11146797283469-Examplify-Download-the-Installers-for-Windows-Mac\">running the latest version<\/a> (unless otherwise advised by the EdTech team).\u00a0If you are not on the latest version, login and download it from the link below. Examplify Downloads and System Requirements are available at: <a href=\"https:\/\/examsoft.com\/busm\"><strong>https:\/\/examsoft.com\/busm<\/strong><\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/releases.examsoft.com\/Examplify\/3.4.4\/Examplify_3.4.4_win.exe\"><span>Examplify Windows Installer<\/span><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/releases.examsoft.com\/Examplify\/Examplify_LATEST_win.exe\"><span><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/releases.examsoft.com\/Examplify\/Examplify_LATEST_win.exe\"><span><\/span><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/releases.examsoft.com\/Examplify\/3.4.4\/Examplify_3.4.4.dmg\"><span>Examplify macOS Installer<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the Examplify Application, download and take the short \u2018<strong>Tech Test 2025-2026\u2019 (Password: Test2526)<\/strong>\u2019 to test your system before the actual Exam. The Mock Assessment will take a webcam photo of you for verification purposes, create a recording and upload it to ExamSoft upon completion. Please complete this exam before your actual exam.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive an email from an EdMedia team member when your Mock Assessment and exam are available to download.<\/li>\n<li>When you start the exam, a webcam recording will also begin. Move your device around to show your immediate area on camera for security purposes. You will be recorded throughout the Exam.<\/li>\n<li>If the Digital Notepad is enabled by your faculty, you&#8217;ll have the ability to take digital notes during the exam. Check the option to \u2018Submit Feedback\u2019 to save your notes during the exam.<\/li>\n<li>Once you submit, your exam file and the webcam recording will be uploaded.
