\nWelcome to the Boston University Department of Dermatology website. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients and to furthering the field of dermatology through outstanding basic, translation, and clinical research and teaching to trainees at all levels of experience. The Boston University Department of Dermatology takes a comprehensive and thorough approach to patient care with outstanding clinicians who provide expertise in all specialty areas of dermatology and dermatologic surgery. We are a major referral center for Boston and the Greater New England area with particular strengths in the diagnosis and treatment of Skin Cancers, Pigmented Lesions and Melanoma, Wound Healing, Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Surgery, Autoimmune Diseases of the Skin, Hair Disorders, Psoriasis, Acne, Eczema and Contact Dermatitis, Infectious Diseases of the Skin, Ethnic Skin Disorders and Disorders<\/em><\/p>\n
of Pigmentation, Complex Medical Dermatology in the inpatient setting, and Pediatric Dermatology. Our group of dermatologists have diverse and unique interests and together we are capable of meeting all your dermatologic needs. The Department also provides outstanding diagnostic services through a partnership with the Skin Pathology Laboratory which allows our clinicians to provide diagnosis of patient’s skin biopsy specimens in an interactive, academic setting. We are also very proud of our Residency Training Program which provides extensive training in all areas of dermatology.<\/em><\/p>\n
