He holds triple board certification in General Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Hadland\u2019s clinical and research interests focus on adolescent and young adult substance use disorder prevention and treatment, and on improving care for youth and families affected by substance use. As part of these efforts, he seeks to improve education on addiction to pediatricians in the US and beyond. Dr. Hadland has also studied the potential influence of the pharmaceutical industry in physician prescribing of opioids and stimulants.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Hadland has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and collectively, his 14 mentees have received three national research awards under his direct supervision and published 15 manuscripts. His work has been published in leading medical journals, including The Lancet, BMJ, Pediatrics, JAMA Internal Medicine, and Addiction. Dr. Hadland is on the Editorial Board for the journal Pediatrics, and previously served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Adolescent Medicine and was an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Drug Policy.
