Michael\"Michael<\/a> Dekker, MD, DO

Dr. Michael Dekker is an\u00a0Addiction Psychiatry Fellow at Boston University, with high hopes to develop new methods of treatment for patients with addiction disorders.\u00a0 Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, exposure to patients with addictions started early.\u00a0 After living across the Nation and witnessing the ravages of Addiction, Michael chose to follow his father\u2019s footsteps and enter into the field of treating Addiction disorders.\u00a0 Michael is new to clinical research, but is highly motivated. His research project is focused on Physician Directed Group Buprenorphine Administration. \u00a0Ultimately, Michael hopes to work with American Indians and develop culturally appropriate treatment modalities for psychiatric and addiction disorders.<\/p>\n

Sandra\"Sandra<\/a> Gomez Luna, MD

Dr. Gomez<\/a> completed her fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at St. Luke\u2019s-Roosevelt Medical Center in New York City.\u00a0 With several years of experience in this field, she has contributed to the formation of innovative clinical programs for adults, children and adolescents affected by substance use disorders and comorbid conditions.\u00a0 Dr. Gomez is currently an Addiction Psychiatry fellow at Yale.\u00a0 She hopes to develop a better understanding of some of the factors associated with children, adolescents and young adults\u2019 substance use and substance use disorders.<\/p>\n

Dr. Annie Levesque<\/a> completed her medical school and a residency program in family medicine at University of Montreal. She is also a Master student at the department of experimental medicine of McGill University. She is an Addiction Medicine fellow at the Addiction Institute of New York (St. Luke\u2019s and Roosevelt Hospital). Her current research interests are motivational interviewing and hepatitis C care among substance users.<\/p>\n

Seonaid\"Nolan\"<\/a> Nolan, MD

\nSt. Paul’s Hospital<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dr. Nolan<\/a> is currently in her 6th year of training and is part of the University of British Columbia’s Internal Medicine Fellowship program, as well as Goldcorp’s St. Paul’s Addiction Medicine Fellowship program in Vancouver, Canada. She completed her medical school training in Dublin at the Royal College of Surgeons. She was chief resident in her international medicine training and is the chief resident for both of her current fellowships. Her research is focused on methadone and HCV incidence among IVDU.<\/p>\n

Darcy\"PlottDarcy\"<\/a> Plott, MD

Dr. Darcy Plott is currently a first year addiction medicine fellow at the Cincinnati VAMC \/ University of Cincinnati, having graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is\u00a0\u00a0board-certified in internal medicine.\u00a0 Darcy\u00a0also received an MPH from The Ohio State University and worked as a hospitalist prior to her current position.\u00a0\u00a0Her research project is exploring risk factors for opioid therapy dose escalation.<\/p>\n
