The major aims of this training grant are to develop generalist physician drug abuse researchers, train chief residents in generalist physician disciplines about addiction to facilitate their teaching of physicians in training, and facilitate drug abuse treatment community-based organizations to utilize state-of-the-art drug abuse research in clinical practice.<\/p>\n

The objective of this proposal, HERMITAGE, HIV\u2019s Evolution in Russia \u2013 Mitigating Infection Transmission and Alcoholism in a Growing Epidemic, is to test in a randomized controlled trial the effectiveness of a modified US HIV secondary prevention program, Healthy Relationships Intervention, among HIV-infected patients with risky drinking in a Russian infectious disease hospital.<\/p>\n
