CURATE is a 10-week summer program that provides mentored research experiences to undergraduate students interested in addiction research. Students will be paired with a faculty mentor who has similar interests or focus areas. The program also includes didactic sessions, workshops, clinical observations, and career development opportunities.<\/h5>\n

2026 program dates: May 26th-July 31st<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Move-in for BU Campus Housing: May 24th, Move-out: August 1st<\/p>\n

Program Objectives<\/h3>\n

Through program participation, students will:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Develop addiction research skills from leading experts in the field.<\/li>\n
  2. Expand their knowledge on various substance use topics, ranging from harm reduction to social determinants of addiction.<\/li>\n
  3. Acquire clinical exposure to the screening, diagnosing, and treating of patients with unhealthy drug and alcohol use.<\/li>\n
  4. Build a peer-based community that encourages collaboration and shared learning.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
