Previously, she collaborated on the European research project ODHIN (Optimizing delivery of health care interventions) during her stay in the School of Health and Related Research, University of Sheffield (UK), under the mentorship of Dr. Petra Meier. She also addressed alcohol trends in pregnancy at the National Centre of Epidemiology, Institute of Health Carlos III, Spain. Dr. Romero has experience conducting quantitative and qualitative studies among people with alcohol use disorder. She is also pursuing her PhD with a thesis related to unhealthy alcohol use among Spanish primary care providers.
