The Center fosters multidisciplinary collaborations among outstanding cancer research faculty and trainees in the clinical, laboratory and population sciences.\u00a0To this end, the Center develops <a title=\"Research Programs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/cancercenter\/research-programs\/\">research programs<\/a> that fit within the scope of the research being conducted among its members; and in turn the members are expected to contribute in the following capacities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work as members of an interdisciplinary team within cancer research programs;<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in Cancer Center activities (e.g. cancer seminar series, retreats and research symposiums).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits of Cancer Center Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Active members will have access to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pilot funding programs;<\/li>\n<li>Subsidies to support use of Cancer Center related core facilities;<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities to participate and present their research at center\u2013organized activities (e.g. research symposiums, cancer seminar series, retreats).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Criteria for Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Membership is based on the applicants\u2019 current cancer-related funding portfolio, recent publications that are relevant to cancer and\/or are cancer focused, and that their research interests align with the direction of the Centers\u2019 initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in becoming a member please provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cover letter describing your interest in becoming a Cancer Center member (limit to 1 page).<\/li>\n<li>An up-to-date CV or biosketch that clearly lists current and pending grant support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please use the form below to submit your application.
