And the recognition will extend beyond Monday (her 190th birthday), as BUSM will hold a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/camed\/about\/rebecca-lee-crumpler-2\/the-legacy-of-rebecca-lee-crumpler-what-is-possible\/\">virtual symposia<\/a> in honor of Crumpler all week.<\/p>\n<p>So who exactly was Crumpler (MED 1864) and why is she deserving of a formal day in her honor?
