All BUSM faculty are eligible for nomination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Criteria for nomination:<\/strong> Though these criteria are not exhaustive, competitive nominees will have demonstrated some of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong teaching evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Service on BUSM committees, especially uncompensated committees with a substantial time commitment<\/li>\n<li>Advising of student organizations<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring leadership, such as joint publications or regional or national workshops with students, trainees, or junior faculty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who can nominate:<\/strong> Faculty, staff and students<\/p>\n<p>The Committee on Faculty Awards will select the distinguished faculty to be acknowledged in <em>BUSM This Week<\/em> and on the LCD monitors in the L-Building, as well as a recognition lapel pin.<\/p>\n<p>Submit your nominations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/camed\/faculty\/faculty-award-opportunities\/distinguished-faculty-of-the-month-nomination\/\">here<\/a> by <strong>Monday, Aug. 17<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations for Distinguished Faculty of the Month The Committee on Faculty Awards has established a new initiative to recognize faculty service to the BUSM community.
